of them. A simple alarm, all by itself, wont do anything but possibly stop a simple joy rider that has no clue or perhaps give you a quick warning outside your bedroom window. Some of us, that really take protection to the limit, have done a multitude of things to simply make it HARDER for people to get the car. Any good car thief will tell you that the harder a car is to get, the more likely they'll pass on it. I have so many add-ons, redundancies, backup batteries and "fake" wires and such on my setup that the only way someone will get it easily is to flatbed it. Even then, I'll at least get a page from the tow sensor on any angle more than 2 degrees...but anything is possible :) A well setup alarm is not a waste unless you make it that way.
